The Western Open in Portland Oregon, presented on Fireball tables.
What an event!
Did we have a great time or what!
We will start with thanking all the people that came to the event. The Players were awesome to host at the Red Lion. If we didn’t have the Players, we wouldn’t have an event. Players came in from all over the West, California, Canada, Idaho, Montana and Washington. Kevin Ko from Taiwan and Dennis from China.
Thanking the help/staff/team seems inadequate. How to say thank you with the respect they deserve. They are not just the help; they were the backbone of the team for our success. I have to start with my cousin, Zoetta for her tireless energy at the counter and more. I would like to thank Kelly for her great attitude and helping everyone with a wonderful smile, plus a pleasure to have on the Western Open team. Thanks to Ann for her bookkeeping and keeping the records straight.
A special thanks to Pat Mandin and his hard work at the software. A lot of work went into building that program long before it ever came to us at the Western Open. It also was a pleasure getting to know Pat better as well. Craig was a big help keeping things current behind the screens.
Justin Shaw worked hard to put together the tables with the help of others. Breakdown was helped by Isaac, late on Sunday night.
Our biggest thanks has to go to Mike Holbert for getting this event going. Mike wanted to put together a nice event last year and it came together. Those trophies were hot! The medals were cool! Thank you for all your help.
The Western Open brought a new level to Oregon Foosball Events. We think we can continue to see a strong presents for future tournaments with Fireball.
I appreciate the strong turnout during such a poor economical time; we didn’t give many of you time to plan on coming to this event either. A new table and the trust in me to deliver what I promised was a professional quality table. Also, thank you for all the positive support and the thanks you given to us.
