Somehow it seems like the next logical step in bringing this game to a doable sport in the state. The common thread is our favorite game and how to go about having get together's that means something. We have tournaments that might be criticized afterwards, or not,,, We have different ideas about what is important at our tournaments. We have players that go abroad and represent the area. We have conflict in the timing of weeklies. We could use direction from a group of players who care. A club from the area who helps figure out things so it doesn't rest on but a few.

A forum like this is a great platform to start a club. I would be all for it. There of course would need to be a board of directors(President, Treasurer, Secretary, etc). If we had that leadership team in place, it would be manageable and viable.
ideas?

Sac, we do have a beginning, we know who cares, we see them at every tournament. We just have to understand why it would be worth it and get those people together and plan some good things for the future. The thing about a "club" is everyone is encouraged to have input, and that is a good thing. They don't have to give up major time but still can give what they can either in feedback or time and effort. Within any group you will have a small group of shakers and movers, they truly are the lifeblood of any sport endeavor. But without any structure to engage those who are willing, well you get situations just like that where Pat had enough. Who could blame him? He gave so much of his time and effort, who helped him? I want NW foosball to grow but I think it has to be a group effort so it can go on when it gets too hard for some one to continue their efforts due to what ever reason. How many of us love this game? Why, then, should it be hard for any of us to share in the direction that our sport will go? We can make it as big as we want it to be as long as we are all on the same page.

I agree, responsibilities must be shared if anything is going to happen. Someone just has to take the bull by the horns:)
