I just recently played foosball with my son after a long time away. I use to play at lunch in middle school and absolutely loved it. I have rekindled the love. I am looking for a table to play with my son and found that there is a new version. I learned how to play with a single goalie/raised corner style table. Is that not the standard anymore?

How cool! I work at a middle school and run a foosball club. Not too much difference between goalies, it just aint soccer with 13 men on the field. I would recommend you buy a Fireball table as they are priced well compared to the Tornado which most tournaments are played on but Fireball is new so that could change if it gets the support of players and it should cause it's a great table and nearly indestructable. This is not a toy table like sportcraft. Get one on-line and keep on foosin.

It is time to forget about the single man goalie! Those tables are long gone.
Check portlandfoosball.com main site for current locations where you will find the new styles of tables.
I think after some time for adjusting you will find that the new styles work just fine.
