Let's hear them! Where would you like to see:
-a large tourney -weekly tourney
It seems to me that the city of Portland is seriously lacking any good locations..all the foos locations are located 10-15 minutes from the city, depending on where you live.

Hey Issac! Down at Squirrels in Corvallis we have 6 good players plus some willing. Tige and I talked about , well, what about team play? We should be able to round up a few 6 man teams to set up matches. What do you think? Oh yeah, nice site!

Well I'm not talking a tournament as such. It's more like a team league thing. Little Italy's could probably put together a team, the Turf could probably do two. Then there is the End Zone in Woodburn and The Spot in Mollala(legend table) and then there is the bar in Monitor(Tornado). Anyway it's no more than an idea at this point but it lets those players from around the area get to rub elbows when they might not otherwise. As far as times and dates, well we need to talk,,

High guys, Have you seen the list of places that have the timber soccer foos tables? there are 10 loc. at this time. Van. Wilsn. Kells, Maccadam grill and others. Who knows maybe we can pick up some new players to help the cause. I'd like to get some new people to make it to the tourny on the 23rd. Comon Keith get your dinkin goggles on and let's go.

that word sponsorship is a sensitive one...maybe a co-op...get some foosball players to do a demo at a game...should be a female!

I meant sponsoring a tournament, not a personal sponsorship. Maybe have a tournament where the real soccer players, from the Timbers soccer team, team up with local foosers in a pro-am tournament as a publicity tournament and help both causes? Hey, it could be fun,,

first off i just wanna thank those involved in this site. it took me quite a while of going to local bars (inner SE pdx) and looking on line to find a tourney. I have been making the long drive every sunday to the end zone and have already learned alot from their players. Being a Timbers supporter i immediately went out to play the new tables. the one thing they have going for them is they are free so it encourages new players. but i doubt any pro player would choose them over a Tornado for serious play. I do agree that it could be good publicity for foosers and Timbers. I have posted on the Timbers board looking for foosers and got no reply. As far as local pdx spots to play Blitz sports bar at 2233 SE 11th ave has a good table, pretty sure its a Tornado. Toms sports bar at 39th and SE division has a Tornado and a few locals who can play. Me and my wife play both spots often and would love to get a regular game going

Hi Xbasilx. Thanks to the pointers to the places to play. I knew that Blitz had tables at one time..glad to hear there is one still there. Does it get much play? Any chance you could print off a copy of the flyer (on this site's home page) and post one down there? There are a couple other places in the area that you might want to try, depending on where you are located. In Corvallis, there is a Tornado at the Squirrel Tavern; In Woodburn, there is one at...dang!...the name slips my mind (DaveL, can you fill this in?); in Tigard, there are 2 Tornados at the Home Turf just off Highway 99, near the BiMart (tourneys each Saturday, $10 entry); and in Cornelius, there are 2 Tornados at Little Italy (Wednesdays, $5 entry). You and your wife should consider playing in the Mixed Doubles event in the upcoming tourney!

Hey Hutch, did you realize there is a "Where to play" link on the homepage of PortlandFoosball.com ?
lol CMON!
We only have three locations on there right now, but I would LOVE to add more. Maybe BLITZ should be on there.

Hutch, its the End Zone of Hwy99 in Woodburn. Tournaments are Sunday nights, Amatuer Only.
Great place to start playing if you are still learning how to play with the big boys..

Ya I will try and get a flyer to blitz. We've gone to the Saturday tourney at home turf but that's a lil outta my league. But that's where we was told bout to the end zone Tourney on Sundays. We are probobly gonna go to the big tourney to watch on saturday, my wife is still learning and doesn't feel comfortable in that level of competition. I have never seen or heard of anyone playing at blitz but would like to get something going there!

I mentioned this before, and i don't want to sound like a broken record, but since you asked...
I had our foot in the door on a location right smack in Downtown portland, right off the Max. It's called Backspace and i guess it was too busy on weekends, or the music was not quite the right stuff, or maybe the location was to far away from the person that checked it out. I have one table. If someone wants to join me in with another table then i will go and talk to place. PEACE
...and i do believe it's all ages.
