Just thought I would start this thread for people wanting partners or wanting to say who they are playing with. This looks like a Tourney that Kathy and I can most likely make. Awesome goalie (Kathy) will need a forward for mixed and Womens doubles. Ben keep on foosin

hey old man and Kathy, I'd like to throw my name in for mixed. It will be one of two events I will be able to play in. The other being the shake and bake on Fri. Sat. morning I will be showcasing two tables and 1 wheelchair accessible table for Ore. special Olympics at campus, 800 to 1000 folks. So I'll be busy with that until 2pm. So anyway my name is in the pot.

We might have a few out of town guest at this event. I am looking forward to seeing who from outside the area will be showing up. It will be nice to have a good group of Foosers from outside of Portland area. The events that we have had here were successful from the stand point that we saw some good competition. I want to make special note about Foosers Rates at the RED LION PDX Email to your request in to: gm.rlpdx@bhghotels.com This will help keep the reservations straight. Partners. Rick Martin and the guy that will carry him to the finals. Jason Sherill and another unlucky enough fool to play with this human Back-Pack. Jack Lenty and his lovely partner. AKD and some other person that has depth perception. Adam Gilson and his grandmother The great Dan Kaiser and an anchor that will drag him down. Who will win the Western Open Singles? Ryan, if he gets the motivation? Jason or Jack? Justin maybe... I would like to see who is chiming in here... Brad www.fireballtablesoccer.com/joomla15/tour-poster.html?start=1

Ryan will win singles, unless a Canadian or out of towner shows up.
Jason and I will be haunting your doubles dreams.
I'd bet that Dennis and Robbie finish pretty highly in the doubles event.
Is Jack going to play? Not sure if it is during fishing season or not.

I'm looking for partners! I'm a rookie and will be coming up from Southern California. I've played in a few DYPs, but this will be my first real tournament. Can play front or back decently. I'll record a short video of me playing if necessary, or we could talk on the phone.

Josh,
Is a player out of the San Diego area and has a real enthusiasm for the game and Fireball. Josh, if you don't find anyone, don't worry, I will find a partner or two for you once you are here. You going to pull any of my buddies up with you? Brad

It should be noted that I'm playing and practicing approximately 40 hours a week. So yeah, you could say I'm enthusiastic Thanks Brad, I'd really appreciate if you could find some kind soul to partner up with me! I'm planning and saving to attend at least 12 official tournaments next year, so if any other rookies are also planning to travel let me know and perhaps we can partner up! I don't know anyone else who's going yet, but I'll ask around. I don't think most of them even know what a Fireball is! (besides the ones who play at my house)

You are correct, some don't know because they don't look at the websites like you do. Others, they know, they don't think you know... Rookie lol
Great to hear you are putting in the time. You will enjoy the roller coaster. I will know more about who will be available in a couple more weeks.
Email in your room reservations.
Later, Brad

Yo thinkpol, If you haven't found a partner for the upcoming Western Open I'm coming down from Seattle without one. I don't play too bad wherever I'm at on the table and for the last two years on Fireball I've won the WSO senior doubles event. 2010 playing goalie for the legendary Rick Martin, which nobody was impressed with and this year I played forward for Pat Mandin and we seemed to walk right through everyone. I think everyone now realizes, with the exception of Rick, that the Rocket, Rick Martin, didn't carry me last year. It just took a repeat title with a different partner and myself at forward to convince people it was no fluke. So if you're interested, I'm down and can do it anywhere. Your A.K.D.

Yo thinkpol, Worded that wrong. Everyone with the exception of Rick, thought I was carried through that event to win the title.
