Mike Soto is a player in Bend and there is another guy to, forget his name. Anyway there are a couple of good players there and they probably would love to hear from you. Mike works up at the ski resort if I remember right,,,

My Am partner, Dennis from Corvallis was pounding a nasty pull too, an act of violence while Tige, my open partner's pull was more like sweet poetry. Playing those guys a lot made playing Justin a whole lot easier.

I didn't go last night but I'll get on Issac's case about not checking his site.

I'm not arguing against an amateur event, I'm just saying going against the big boys is worth spending the money regardless of the outcome. For myself I know exactly where I am in this game and where I am going. Without the challenges offered by playing the powers that be, well, I probably would lose interest. I don't want it easy and I'm not getting it thank God.

The answer is really simple. You will never be a good player unless you learn to compete with good players. You can't practice it unless you get the opportunity such as this and it is precious to have such opportunities. To be able to go up against the Lenty's, Sherrells, Foz's and a bunch more is a total treat. Hey, it's on you how you want to play them and where you think you are going in the game. But trust me, unless you get these chances at them and play your best, well you aren't going to advance much. This is a real good thing, these tournaments Issac and Harold are putting together. You can't buy this kind of practice. Anyone who takes this game seriously has a vision of the player they think that they can be. The thing is is to see if you are getting there against the best. The best in the NW is totally right up there with the best in the country which then translates into the best in the world. Nice company! Be realistic about your skills and try to make the most of them at tournaments such as this, then build on it. Everyone who is a "who" has done this,,,. As for an amateur event, well it is fun too, I agree, but my rewards come from how I play against the "big boys".

I meant sponsoring a tournament, not a personal sponsorship. Maybe have a tournament where the real soccer players, from the Timbers soccer team, team up with local foosers in a pro-am tournament as a publicity tournament and help both causes? Hey, it could be fun,,

Tige Kurth and I are partnering up for both DYP and the pro-am. What are the other teams?

The worst thing that could happen is to be ranked higher than you should be. To be ranked lower than you should be is a positive. That way you can sneak up on people and make them say,"huh?" when they play you. I so look forward to the day when I 'get serious'. Issac, you don't leave the middle open a little do you?? lol

Well I'm not talking a tournament as such. It's more like a team league thing. Little Italy's could probably put together a team, the Turf could probably do two. Then there is the End Zone in Woodburn and The Spot in Mollala(legend table) and then there is the bar in Monitor(Tornado). Anyway it's no more than an idea at this point but it lets those players from around the area get to rub elbows when they might not otherwise. As far as times and dates, well we need to talk,,

Hey Issac! Down at Squirrels in Corvallis we have 6 good players plus some willing. Tige and I talked about , well, what about team play? We should be able to round up a few 6 man teams to set up matches. What do you think? Oh yeah, nice site!
