Happy birthday Wayne! 59? That's old brother, real old LOL. I'll still partner with you and be happy about it. With all our experience they would be shaking in their boots if we remembered it all at the same time. ;D Remember, we might not be as good as we once were but we can be as good once as we ever were.

Sac, we do have a beginning, we know who cares, we see them at every tournament. We just have to understand why it would be worth it and get those people together and plan some good things for the future. The thing about a "club" is everyone is encouraged to have input, and that is a good thing. They don't have to give up major time but still can give what they can either in feedback or time and effort. Within any group you will have a small group of shakers and movers, they truly are the lifeblood of any sport endeavor. But without any structure to engage those who are willing, well you get situations just like that where Pat had enough. Who could blame him? He gave so much of his time and effort, who helped him? I want NW foosball to grow but I think it has to be a group effort so it can go on when it gets too hard for some one to continue their efforts due to what ever reason. How many of us love this game? Why, then, should it be hard for any of us to share in the direction that our sport will go? We can make it as big as we want it to be as long as we are all on the same page.

Lenty is my favorite, hands down. He first got my attention back in 1980 and he still has it now. If I could play goalie for him in a major I would be thinking I would be heading for a title and I would do everything I could to make it so as I know he would be doing that too but on steroids,,,

Somehow it seems like the next logical step in bringing this game to a doable sport in the state. The common thread is our favorite game and how to go about having get together's that means something. We have tournaments that might be criticized afterwards, or not,,, We have different ideas about what is important at our tournaments. We have players that go abroad and represent the area. We have conflict in the timing of weeklies. We could use direction from a group of players who care. A club from the area who helps figure out things so it doesn't rest on but a few.

Dang Pat! You've done so much for the game and us, the players. I want to say thank you for that. I hope at some point you dive back in even though you've done more than most and shouldn't need to. Well, I hope you and that pretty wife of yours show up and let us have a go at that push kick dink game you are famous for. I hope you still bring your programs and computers for the big ones, You and Myk set the standard, a real class act. Keep foosin bro!

I wish I had such problems that I had to choose where to play. Just finding a tournament in my normal waking hours is huge for me. Mike doing singles at the Bull on Sundays is great. I'll definitely be making some of those. I just can't make it this Sunday as I got invited on a tuna fishing trip. Issac, you understand, lol. As far as dividing the players, why? Just have tournaments on different nights so nothing is one or the other but instead both. Then find another location or two and start a league type thing with small teams (4-6) that are level by ranking. That way lower ranked players have a place as good teams need lower ranked players to help keep the combined ranking level. I guess the bottom line is sometimes a percieved problem can go away with the right perspective.

Tygh and Dennis both like the idea. Once a month Saturday daytime tournaments would make a world of difference for us.

That bar across the street wasn't bad at all and they should be supported for supporting us. That is unless there are problems we don't know about,,,

I'll talk to Tygh and Dennis to see what they think but anytime that there was a daytime Saturday tournament I was there.

I mentioned this to Robbie this past weekend but thought it bears repeating to other Portland foosers. A once-a- month Saturday daytime tournament in Portland would be something I would be likely to attend as would others that live down here in the mid-valley. When you look at the starting times for the evening tournaments plus the drive time, well, it just doesn't make sense for us "southerners". What do you think?

At first I thought maybe Deutscher Meister but it doesn't have springs for rod bumpers so it might be a TS blue top clone. DM and TS were a lot alike and this table is one of them or a close copy. I loved playing on those tables, one of my favorites

I looked around for you but couldn't find anything. You might consider getting in touch with Brad Laurine about a Fireball table.

Hey Issac, it sounds like it's going to be a good one, everyone is upbeat and I think the location is good. The weather sounds like it will let off by then so LETS FOOS! ;D

I look at what contests are being played and when. I don't function well late at night as I usually get up around 4:30 -5:00AM. A match at 1:30 AM totally sucks for me. Weekend daytime tournaments are the ones I go to, unless they are on the first weekend of bow hunting season
